Winter Meeting (1948)

A disenchanted poet meets a disillusioned war hero and invites him back to her apartment for a nightcap. Drawn to one another, these two lost souls fall in love while discussing their inner demons.
Shining Victory (1941)

A research psychologist escapes from Budapest after the nature of his work is discovered and resettles in Scotland where he resumes his work. He eventually marries his female assistant but she dies in a fire trying to protect his valuable notes. The doctor dedicates the rest of his work to her memory and heads to China to work as a medical missionary.
A Millionaire For Christy (1951)

A secretary for a legal firm is sent to California to inform an overly sentimental radio host that he has just inherited two million dollars. Looking to raise her standard of living, she decides to court the man and marry him before telling him he's a millionaire.
