I Can Get it for You Wholesale (1954)

Barely out of prison, a pickpocket quietly helps himself to the contents of a woman's purse. His beautiful victim turns out to be an unwitting courier for the communist underground - his booty is microfilmed government secrets intended to be delivered to Moscow.

Kiss of Death (1947)





Starring Richard Widmark, Victor Mature, Karl Malden, Brian Donlevy, Mildred Dunnock, and Colleen Gray. Directed by Henry Hathaway. A small-time crook gets caught in a jewel heist and goes to jail, assured that his wife and children will be taken care of. Learning that his depressed wife has killed herself, he informs on his pals, is paroled, remarries, gets a job, and begins leading a happy life when he learns that one of the men he informed on has been released from prison and is out for revenge.
