Starring Cary Grant and Ann Sheridan. Directed by Howard Hawks. A French officer is assigned to work with a female American lieutenant. They fall in love and marry but when her army unit gets recalled back to the USA, the only way they can stay together is by invoking a law allowing the spouse of American army personnel to enter the country, under the War Bride's Act.
